Enjoy smooth and silky flavors by buying Satander chocolate

Santander is a Colombian chocolate maker which started its operations in 1920 and is famous as Colombia's chocolate and coffee market leader. Chocolate Satander roots back its origin to South America. It is based in the country of origin and has derived its name from the State of Santander, Eastern Colombia. It also is fair trade, small farmer, and kosher. Santander chocolate has an exceptionally smooth flavor and mouth feel, and is bitter-sweet. It is one of the tastiest chocolates, multifaceted, with strong fruity undertones.

The subtle bitter crunch is provided by cacao nibs, which is a nice contrast to the smoothness of the chocolate itself. This chocolate is meant to be eaten slowly, nibbled and savored. The chocolate is considered as south America’s most special being one of the finest cacaos in the world, despite not being organic. This unmatched cacao is the result of the region's unique geographic and agricultural conditions. Centuries-old tradition is being followed that brings out the outstanding organoleptic qualities of Chocolate Santander. The harvesting of Cacao pods, in colorful oranges, yellows and reds and violets, is done with scissors and forks, cut-open with short machetes, sorted, fermented in wooden boxes, and at last dried in the sun on wooden boards. The chocolate is made from 70% cocoa solids, along with added cocoa butter (added fat), cane sugar (sweetener), soy lecithin (emulsifier), and vanilla (flavoring).

The cacao trees used are Criollo and Trinitario. The color of the chocolate is dark brown and the texture is smooth with text imprints and scoring. Also the aroma used is made of coconut, roast (smoke), sweet (caramel), marshmallow and hint of spice. Finally, the taste developed is of roast (coffee, tea), fruit (citrus), sweet and nutty. The chocolate melts smoothly and the taste lasts for 25-30 seconds. The Kosher-dairy has certified many products of Satander.

The product line of Satander include Satander chocolate bar, Satander chocolate disk, Satander chocolate squares, Satander chocolate covered nibs and Satander chocolate coffee beans. The Satander chocolate bar are available in dark chocolate, semi-dark chocolate, milk chocolate with 100% expresso coffee beans etc. Even the packaging is graceful - dark red with light yellow lettering and two theobroma cacao beans in the upper right corner. It’s packaged in foil in a box, making it easy to save for later. The chocolate is readily available at various supermarkets, kiosks, convenience stores, Oxfam, independent retail stores, independent gift shops, food co-ops and leading wholesalers.

The company exports its products to Norway, Sweden, Czech Republic, South Korea, Australia and Japan. It has also won many awards for its portfolio of chocolate products and is growing strong year on year in terms of its net profit and gross sales.
