From patch up to make ups, from near ones to dear ones, from rich to poor, from young to old everybody loves chocolates. Chocolates have become an essential part of people life. Today no gift is complete without chocolate whereas chocolate is the best gift. Chocolate are made of cocoa seeds which have bitter taste and these seed needs to be fermented to develop the taste. After fermentation, the beans are dried, cleaned, and roasted. The shell is removed to produce cacao nibs, which are then ground to cocoa, pure chocolate in rough form and because the cocoa mass is usually liquefied before being molded with or without other ingredients, it is called chocolate liquor. The liquor also may be processed into two components: cocoa solids and cocoa butter.

There is a company named as the Ghirardelli chocolate Company which has its company in United States and the interesting fact about the company is that it is one of the divisions of Swiss based company Lindt & Sprungli. The Lindt was invented by Rudolph Lindt in 1845 and it is a Swiss chocolate. They have their main head office in Switzerland and from here they distribute their chocolate worldwide. The Lindt have introduced many different flavor of chocolate for their customers such as the sweet chocolates, sugar free chocolate, caramel chocolate, vanilla taste chocolate, crunchy chocolate, chocolate bars etc. This company was founded by an Italian chocolate named as Domenico Ghirardelli. This company was named by him only and this company was incorporated in 1852. This is one of the second-oldest chocolate companies in the US and the first one is the Baker's Chocolate.

Ghirardelli is one of those few chocolate companies of United States that try to control every small – small aspect of chocolate while getting manufactured. While making this chocolate the bakers reject up to 40% of the cocoa seeds and then select "highest quality" seeds in order to manufacture the best and quality chocolates. In the making process they firstly roast the cocoa seeds and remove all the outer shell of the seed and then slowly - slowly roast the inside part of the seed and the nibs. Once the roasting of beans is done from outside as well as inside then the chocolate is grounded to fine flakes, somewhere around 19 micrometers in size. Ghirardelli chocolate company also sells confectionery items such chocolate beverages and flavored sauces, to other retailers.
