CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY

In 1964 a children’s novel was published by Roald Dahl, called Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, it is a story of a small boy called Charlie Bucket who takes a tour to the world’s greatest chocolate factory. Two film adaptations of this novel were made. First one was Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory produced in 1971 which became a cult classic, it was based on Willy Wonka Candy Company which produces chocolates till date. Second adaptation was made in 2005 that is thirty four years later from the previous one, named Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It was one of the highest earning films of the year which earned US$ 470,000,000 from all over the globe. It was also nominated in seventy eighth Academy Awards for Costume Design.
