There
are many other things that can go well with wine although, chocolates have been
considered as the best thing that can be paired or consumed with wine to savor
both tastes in the best manner. But, most of the people think about this aspect
when talking about wine since chocolate has already gained a lot of popularity
as perfect with wine. Some of the most ancient food items that were prepared on
this earth are chocolate, bread and wine with chocolate being added to the list
quite recently. Just 2000 years before it happened. Its youthful vigor is shown
in its increasing popularity and use. Obtained from Theobroma, the cocoa tree many
people are aware that chocolates are manufactured using cocoa beans. A lot of
significance and respect to the cocoa bean is shown by the researchers who work
in the field of nutrition. In comparison to vegetables, fruits, wine or tea chocolate
is considered to be quite high in antioxidants.
It is seen that it has more
antioxidants when compared to red wine as indicated in a study conducted at
Cornell University if we consider 1.5 ounce dark chocolate piece. This way a
successful pairing between chocolate and wine is possible. An art and well
deserved appellation can be seen in tasting and savouring wine. In comparison
to any other beverage or food most taste sensors are triggered by grape wine.
Coming due to different fermentations and varietals, the glasses meant to drink
wine are designed such that its flavour is enhanced. One chocolate variety that
can be perfectly paired with wine is
Madagascar chocolate.

tasting. Conversely, it is 85 percent taste while 15 percent smell in case of
chocolates. For tasting chocolate/wine pairings a preferred and definite
procedure is established by these characteristics.
Into small pieces the chocolate is broken and before
placing on the tongue, the raw edges of two pieces of chocolates are rubbed close
to the nose. Rather it is allowed to melt in the mouth the chocolate is not
chewed. The wine is sipped following it as soon as the chocolate gets melted. Darkest
chocolates are preferred by many people. Chocolates are also preferred in a
particular manner just like wine. It is drunk with a wine with more body to
allow the taste of the wine to be enjoyed though Madagascar chocolate is quite
strong in taste.
